Prices of ACRO services to increase
The prices of ACRO certificates are going up for the first time in seven years.
From 2nd January 2020, the price for a Police Certificate will increase:
  • from £45 to £55 for a standard certificate
  • from £80 to £95 for a premium certificate
On the same date, the price for an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) will increase from £60 to £75.
Thomas Mason, ACRO’s National Services Senior Manager explains the rationale behind the planned price increase:
“The principal driver is ensuring we can continue to deliver key law enforcement and community safety services that are vital to tackling crime and keeping people safe.
“Recent increases in operating costs mean that the surplus income from Police Certificates at current levels will not be sufficient to sustain the financial demands of the wider business.
“Similarly, we need to ensure that the price we charge for ICPC covers our costs so that we can continue to produce a product that keeps vulnerable children safe across the world.
“The prices for both Police Certificate and ICPCs have remained the same for the last seven years, and so a review now is appropriate.
“We’ve decided to raise the prices to ensure that both products are future-proof for the next three years, when they will be subject to further review.”
Prices for both services will be subject to review in 2022.
