ACRO fundamental to keeping the public safe

The work of ACRO Criminal Records Office again proved fundamental to protecting the public and keeping communities safe during the 2015/16 financial year.

We delivered a record volume of services in exchanging international criminal conviction information and in issuing certificates that helped protect people across the world.

At the same time, ACRO managed an increased number of sexual offender records, disseminated more intelligence and forged links and betters connections with dozens of countries to develop and improve the services we provide.
